Facility Location: Saint Joseph Mount Sterling
Setting: Small rural facility with level one nursery. Available rooms consist of 1 triage room, 2 labor rooms, 1 c-section suite, and 6 postpartum rooms.
EMR: Epic
Support Staff: Anesthesia staff, Certified Nurse Midwife, experienced labor and delivery staff nurses (experience ranges from 5-27 years)
Reason for Coverage: Locum not returning, have some gaps
Credentialing Information:
Timeframe: ~2 months but can be expedited to meet start date
Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has performed at least 100 deliveries in the past 24 months and at least 50 major gynecological surgical procedures in the past 24 months
Credentialing with other facilities? No
Billing enrollment – Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less? No
Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
Admissions per day: Varies- average 18-20 deliveries per month
Patients/day: Varies- average 45 triage patients per month
Types of cases: Triage of patients > 20 weeks gestation with OB complaint. Deliveries both vaginal and cesarean. GYN cases who present to ED.
Submission Requirements

- Board Certified (accepting truly BE within 5 years of training) – REQUIRED
- KY license – REQUIRED
- Fellowship Trained – Must complete a residency training program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or its equivalent in obstetrics at a minimum. – REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice – Highly Preferred
- Availability at time of name clear – REQUIRED
